Candace has expertise in global community engagement, and has organized events such as the Human and Environmental Justice in Guatemala Conference. She is also the instructor for the University of Guelph's Interdisciplinary Field School in Global Community Engagement: Pathologies of Power in Guatemala.

Jeji brings extensive experience in community engaged scholarship to the Faculty Affiliates team. She also has a distinct focus on the scholarship of teaching and learning, especially as it is related to student engagement; she was awarded the inaugural Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award in 2011 for her work assessing the use of CBR as a tool for engaged learning.

Kate uses waste management practices as a lens through which to interrogate complex systems of social organization and human exchanges with the natural world. She brings expertise in the scholarship of teaching and learning and community-engaged scholarship to the Faculty Affiliates.

Leah provides expertise in participatory research and community engaged scholarship (CES). She has has worked as a community-based researcher for a number of years, building collaborative partnerships and research projects focused on the engagement of marginalized publics in public policy development and community decision-making.

Mavis brings 25 years of experience in community-based research (CBR) to the Institute as a Faculty Affiliate. She also has extensive experience integrating CEL opportunities into junior and senior undergraduate courses, for which she was awarded the UGFA Distinguished Professor Award for Innovation in Teaching in 2014.
