Responding to complex and pressing problems increasingly require creative and innovation solutions. Looking at the connecting and engaging power of arts-based practices, The Derry Dialogues will be hosting a set of experts to share insights and stories on the power of improvisation as a means for social change.

Thursday, October 25 from 5:30 to 7:00

University of Guelph, Rozanski Hall, Room 101

Panelists will include CESI Acting Director, Elizabeth Jackson, who will discuss her experiences with how creative practice can nurture connections, enable expression, and foster acceptance of others. Other panel members will include:

  • The Making Box, Guelph’s comedy and improvisation hub
  • Mary Walsh, writer, comedian and social activist
  • Daniel Fischlin, founding Director of the University of Guelph MA/PhD program in Critical Studies in Improvisation
  • Ajay Heble, Director of the International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation and Professor of English
