The Community Engaged Scholarship Institute is excited to announce the launch of our Knowledge Mobilization & Community Engaged Scholarship Funding Opportunities List.

The KMb & CES Funding Opportunities List was inspired by a resource from Simon Fraser University that focused on awards that recognize excellence faculty and staff in KMb. After speaking to faculty and staff at the University of Guelph, we identified a need for a list to be compiled of funding opportunities for faculty and staff that support community engaged research/scholarship and/or knowledge mobilization that has not taken place yet.

Originally, the list focused on funding opportunities for faculty and staff who are, for example, developing research projects with community organizations, implementing community-engaged research, and/or disseminating knowledge from projects through creative methods. However, in the process of researching funding opportunities, we also found opportunities that support Master's, PhD, and Post-Doc students (domestic and international). While this list primarily focuses on 11 grants (with varying funding opportunities associated with them), we have also included 4 awards that recognize excellence in CES and KMb.

We recognize that this list is not exhaustive, but we hope that by providing this list it will make the search for external and internal opportunities less time consuming for those interested or currently conducting community engaged research and/ or knowledge mobilization. We hope to update the list with new funding opportunities as and when they become available. We encourage those interested in learning more about these opportunities to direct all enquiries to the funding organization.
