Addressing Islamophobia in the Classroom: Improving the Student Experience

Led by the National Council of Canadian Muslims, this workshop for the U of G campus community examines the pedagogical foundation for creating universities that are welcoming and inclusive to everyone and looks at how Islamophobia may be impacting our schools and classrooms. As a group, we will explore Islamophobia and some common myths about Islam and Muslims and will also examine how Muslims students are impacted by negative public discourses about their faith.
