Translating knowledge to increase the health of indigenous communities: the Torres Strait Community of Practice project

Please join the Guelph Knowledge Translation and Transfer Community of Practice on Monday, June 18th at 10:30am for a roundtable discussion with a group of Australian researchers who are setting up a Community of Practice to facilitate the translation of knowledge between research, communities and policy-makers to improve the health and well-being of the Torres Strait Islander people. Sanchia Shibasaki, Felecia Watkin-Lui, Lynda Ah Mat, and Juanita Sellwood are members of the project ‘Meriba buay – ngalpan wakaythoemamay (We come together to share our thinking): Evaluating a Community of Practice for Torres Strait Islander Health and Well-being. They will be joining us in Guelph to present their initiative and learn from our own practice and insights doing knowledge mobilization.

Where: University of Guelph, room 441 in the University Centre
Visitor parking is available in Lot P31 or metered parking is available directly outside the University Centre, just off of Christie Lane.
