CESI weaves capacity building, community engagement, and collaboration through all that we do. Some examples of our work include:
- Building capacity for community engagement in Guelph and Wellington County
- Offering skill development workshops for campus and community stakeholders
- Training and mentoring students
- Working to reduce barriers to community-university collaboration
- Carrying out community-engaged projects
- With student interns at the Research Shop
- Via Guelph Lab
- In classes supported by our Community Engaged Teaching and Learning program
- Supporting community-university collaborations that create mutually beneficial impacts for partners and the broader community
- Providing staff and student support
- Offering consultation and advice
- Actively participating in community initiatives (e.g. through board membership)
- Creatively leveraging university resources
- Mobilizing knowledge
