Research Shop Assistant

Why I am working at The Research Shop: The Research Shop demonstrates how scholarly researchers can put their resources to work to produce knowledge that directly benefits the public. Through my work at CESI, I hope to build my capacity for designing, conducting, and disseminating research that is accessible to community members, and reflective of community needs.

Program of Study: As a Masters student in Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychology, I draw on critical qualitative approaches to explore relationships between social processes and lived experiences. I am particularly interested in how psychological theories and practices shape people’s understandings of ourselves, others, and our societies. My graduate research is focused on theories underlying the neuropsychological construct of ‘executive functions’, a key player in contemporary psychologies of the brain.
