What is Public Innovation?

Public innovation is both the goal and the process of generating public solutions that frequently exceed what government can do on its own, but could not be achieved without the use of the levers of the State. It is a core mission of government - developing solutions to the challenges faced by a community that cannot be solved without some form of government intervention.
