Why I’m working with CESI: Throughout my academic journey thus far, I have seen that disconnection between universities and the larger community have consequences and prevent collaboration and dissemination of important work. One of the reasons I chose the University of Guelph was its emphasis on university-community partnerships, and I am excited to bring the skills I have learned through my time in graduate school to trans disciplinary community-oriented projects.

Program of study: I am pursuing my PhD in Applied Social Psychology, with a research focus on women's self-silencing, which involves active restriction of self-expressions for the purpose of maintaining important relationships. Through my research, I explore self-silencing within the context of intimate partner violence.
