Why I’m working with CESI: I’ve always had an interest in knowledge translation and science communication–as a researcher in a field with many “complex” terms, I understand and enjoy the task of explaining my research to a lay audience. I also enjoy graphic design and my position in CESI allows me to combine my love for knowledge translation with my skillset in design.
Program of study: I am pursuing an M.Sc. in the Food Science department in the Spagnuolo Lab. My thesis examines the use of two compounds found in mango ginger and avocado and their anti-leukemic properties.
