"A Circle of Care" Exhibit in the 10C Community Classroom

to
Every day, local not-for-profit organizations work towards a more just, welcoming, and caring community where everyone can thrive. Their passion and commitment drive tangible transformation, and together, they make Guelph and Wellington a better place to live for all. In the poster exhibit "A Circle of Care", we sought to amplify and celebrate the work of 10 of those leading community organizations and key CESI partners. Each poster offers insights into their contexts and contributions, and invites us to take action and create change in Guelph-Wellington.

Addressing Islamophobia in the Classroom: Improving the Student Experience

Led by the National Council of Canadian Muslims, this workshop for the U of G campus community examines the pedagogical foundation for creating universities that are welcoming and inclusive to everyone and looks at how Islamophobia may be impacting our schools and classrooms. As a group, we will explore Islamophobia and some common myths about Islam and Muslims and will also examine how Muslims students are impacted by negative public discourses about their faith.
