Jeji brings extensive experience in community engaged scholarship to the Faculty Affiliates team. She also has a distinct focus on the scholarship of teaching and learning, especially as it is related to student engagement; she was awarded the inaugural Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award in 2011 for her work assessing the use of CBR as a tool for engaged learning.
Jeji is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. She focuses on the social aspects of environmental issues, with a particular focus on four broad themes: the sustainability of resource dependent communities, the voice of marginalized groups in natural resource management, the interface between social science research and environmental policy, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
