CETL Project Featured on CMHA Waterloo-Wellington Instagram

Posted on Monday, July 5th, 2021

Starting July 6th and running all through the month, the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo-Wellington's Youth Talk program will be featuring student work produced with support from CESI's Community Engaged Teaching and Learning program. As part of the new campaign, #TakeABreakTuesdays the Youth Talk Instagram account will feature a short post that includes a mental wellness strategy, its benefits, and an example of how to try it out in everyday life. This concept was developed by youth members of the YouthTALK Regional Team, who were interested in having a steady stream of content highlighting how important it is to take a break throughout the week vs. just on weekends and encouraging youth to make time for themselves to reflect, include positivity, and gain some inspiration or motivation. The work was produced by students in PSYC 1500: Foundational Skills in Psychology in Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 with Dr. Lisa Fiksenbaum.

Check out the Youth Talk Instagram account each Tuesday for a new post!
