CESI, Arrell Food Institute and 10C Renew Partnership to Advance Community-Engaged Research and Learning
The Community Engaged Scholarship Institute (CESI), the Arrell Food Institute (AFI), and 10C have renewed their collaboration agreement for July 2026 to June 2029, building on a long-standing relationship between CESI and 10C that began in 2017.
The renewed agreement builds on the organizations' existing space-sharing relationship, bringing CESI, AFI, and 10C together around a collaborative agenda focused on animating the space at 10C and deepening a shared learning and knowledge agenda.
Upcoming collaborative work will focus on three areas: economic impact and community wealth building, local food systems and infrastructure, and social infrastructure and belonging. The partnership will also support opportunities for student engagement, collaborative research, and the development of accessible knowledge that can inform community practice.
The agreement continues to provide University of Guelph faculty and staff with access to a variety of spaces at 10C for community-engaged activities, including classrooms, meeting rooms, gallery space, and co-working areas. These spaces can be used for research meetings, workshops, knowledge mobilization events, and other partnered activities, with priority given to activities associated with the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences (CSAHS).
Faculty and staff interested in booking space, exploring opportunities for collaboration, or learning more about the agreement can contact Kendra Schnarr, CESI Research Project Assistant.
