Learn Here: The Guelph Lab's Energy Equity Action Plan
We are excited to share that a Guelph Lab project has been featured by Guelph Today. The Guelph Lab has been working on The Energy Equity Action Plan with the City of Guelph and other relevant partners.
This action plan includes the review of past policies and has proposed new policies based on the energy needs of Guelph residents. The new policies have been formed with the input from a group of Guelph residents that have lived experience in making difficult energy choices. The Guelph Lab facilitator Sam Laban utilized the phrase “heat or eat” to describe the dilemma vulnerable Guelph residents face. The goal of this plan is to improve the affordability of energy and increase access to energy for all equity-deserving communities in Guelph.
