Join our team! The Research Shop is hiring four students for the following positions:

• Research Shop Assistant [Agri-Food Innovations] - 2 positions available
  • Supporting community engaged research projects in collaboration with the Agricultural Genomics Action Centre
  • Performing an in-depth literature review focused on GE3LS (ethical, environmental, economic, legal, and social dimensions of research in climate-smart agriculture)
  • Supporting with the creation of knowledge mobilization outputs
• Research Shop Assistant [Gender-Based Violence Project] - 2 positions available
  • Supporting federally funded From Crisis to Collaboration: A Systems Change Blueprint for Gender-Based Violence Organizations project led by Sustainable Livelihoods Canada
  • Supporting ongoing research and evaluation projects, primarily through research synthesis and knowledge mobilization
  • Assisting with knowledge mobilization priorities and activities

Hours of work are between 5-10 hours per week from April 2026 to December 2026 Agri-Food Innovations position] and from April 2026 to March 2027 [Gender-Based Violence Project positions], with possibility of extension. It is anticipated that most work will be done remotely with possibility of in-person work.

Hours of work, duties, required skills and experience, and application instructions are specific to each position and listed in the postings attached below. Training will be provided to the selected candidates. These positions are open to undergraduate and graduate students from across the University of Guelph.
