Grey Bruce Immigrant Survey 2026. Because your story counts.

Posted on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026

In 2023, the Grey Bruce Local Immigration Partnership (GBLIP) conducted its first survey of immigrants and newcomers in collaboration with the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute (CESI) at the University of Guelph. We are very pleased to be partnering again to conduct the survey once again in 2026.

The Immigrant Survey 2026 is for all immigrants, refugees, claimants, international students, temporary workers and their families in Grey-Bruce. It is an opportunity to share experiences of living, working and studying here and help build a thriving, prosperous community for everyone, and to understand how and if things have changed since 2023.

More than 50 organizations including community service, business, municipal and post-secondary partners across Grey Bruce region will use the results to develop policies and programs that better serve, support and empower immigrants and other community members to reach their full potential.

The survey aims to hear from least 200 immigrants on topics including education, housing, employment, health, belonging, discrimination, community building and more. Demographic questions are included so that survey results can be analyzed and disaggregated to show the various experiences of different immigrant groups.

The survey mainly is available online, but email, phone or paper can be available if needed. The Immigration Partnership invites all residents, organizations and businesses in Grey Bruce region – help encourage all immigrants to participate in the survey, among family, friends, neighborhoods, at work, and through other networks and social media.
