Phil Loring

Phil Loring is a faculty member in the Department of Geography, Environment, and Geomatics and the Arrell Food Institute at the University of Guelph. His research interests include sustainability, food systems, environmental stewardship, and social justice. Phil participates in community-engaged scholarship to ensure that his research helps solve societal problems through a collaborative process that elevates local needs and perspectives and ensures sustainable and just outcomes. He has worked with community partners including the Shawanaga First Nation, Local Catch Network, and Ecotrust Canada.
