The Creating Healthier Communities event, held on June 23, 2026, aimed to foster cross-sector connections and relationships. With the hope of planting seeds for future collaboration opportunities, 89 attendees filed into the Guelph Arboretum Centre for a morning of rich conversation, information sharing, and problem solving. The event was grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when community organizations, researchers, and practitioners work together.

We are excited to share that the Guelph Lab, one of CESI's program areas, has been featured in University of Guelph News! The article highlights the collaborative development of the Guelph Energy Equity Action Plan. The project brings together the University of Guelph, the Guelph Lab, the City of Guelph, and the University of Toronto to improve energy equity for Guelph residents.

A CESI article has become one of OMEGA - Journal of Death and Dying's top-read articles for the past six months, four years after its publication.

In 2023, the Grey Bruce Local Immigration Partnership (GBLIP) conducted its first survey of immigrants and newcomers in collaboration with the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute (CESI) at the University of Guelph. We are very pleased to be partnering again to conduct the survey once again in 2026.
